We are thrilled to provide you with an update on our Cancer Screening Dashboard, which has been enhanced with the latest data from the CEG (Clinical Effectiveness Group). Since our initial release in April, we have been working diligently to improve the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the data presented on the dashboard.

For those who may be unfamiliar, the Cancer Screening Dashboard is a powerful tool designed to assist practices and PCNs (Primary Care Networks) in effectively managing their cancer screening programs. It offers valuable insights into the number of screenings conducted and the percentage of eligible patients who have undergone cervical, bowel, and breast screening.

One of the key features of the Cancer Screening Dashboard is its focus on three specific cohorts: the entire eligible population, patients with learning disabilities, and individuals with severe mental illness (SMI). By highlighting these groups, the dashboard enables practices and PCNs to identify gaps in their screening programs and develop targeted strategies to improve outreach to underserved populations.

To ensure the accuracy of the data, we have partnered with the CEG, leveraging their EMIS searches to extract and analyse patient records. This collaboration allows us to provide you with the most up-to-date and reliable information. While the dashboard does not impose specific targets, it offers key performance indicators (KPIs) that serve as a benchmark for evaluating your screening program's performance and making informed decisions based on data.

We are excited to share that we have made significant progress in expanding the dashboard's capabilities. In the coming weeks, we will be introducing several new features to further enhance your screening process. These additions include EMIS templates and searches, recall lists, and service specifications/contracts. By integrating these functionalities, we aim to streamline your screening operations and improve overall program performance.

We encourage all of you to explore the Cancer Screening Dashboard by visiting https://www.gpcg.info/cs-2023-24. It is our hope that this tool will not only empower you to enhance your screening program's performance but also contribute to reducing the incidence of cancer within your patient population, particularly among underserved communities.

We value your feedback and insights, which are crucial in our ongoing efforts to refine and improve the Cancer Screening Dashboard. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any suggestions, concerns, or questions you may have. Together, we can make a significant impact in the fight against cancer.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication.

Best regards,

THPCND Team
